Signature Keepsake Boxes

We built this small batch of keepsakes as special holiday gifts for family and friends. The goal was to create something timeless and functional, highlighting the contrast of premium American hardwoods.

The Materials & Build

These boxes are handcrafted from Eastern Black Walnut for the bases and Quarter-Sawn White Oak for the figured lids. The walnut provides a rich, dark anchor, while the white oak shows incredible ray fleck and grain detail.

To highlight that stunning grain while providing a sleek, protective finish, we used a clear Polyurethane Lacquer. This finish gives the wood a polished, durable surface that is built to last for generations.
