Designed to turn a utility item into a centerpiece, this custom stand was built to support the weight of a 5-gallon water jug while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic.

The Build & Materials

We used solid Eastern Black Walnut for the entire frame, giving the stand a natural, dark elegance that fits perfectly in any kitchen or office. To protect the wood from the occasional water spill while keeping that signature "raw wood" feel, we finished the piece with Rubio Monocoat. This hardwax oil bonds molecularly with the wood fibers, providing a durable, matte finish that is water-resistant and easy to maintain.

The Details

To handle the 40+ pounds of a full water jug, the stand is engineered for maximum strength. We utilized pocket hole joinery, reinforced with solid walnut plugs for a seamless, finished look. The result is a rock-solid structure that looks amazing from every angle.
